Four projects, in some detail.

We would rather show a handful of things properly than list thirty logos. Each of these ran between eleven and twenty-two weeks, and we were the only design team on all four.

Meridian Health

A triage tool used by nurses on night shift. The old one took nine taps to log a patient. We got it to three, and made the screen readable at arm's length in a dim ward.

Kestrel Freight

Dispatchers were running a 40-lane operation out of a spreadsheet. We built the board they actually needed, then spent four weeks sitting with them removing the parts they never used.

Halden Type Foundry

A foundry that had never had an identity of its own. The wordmark is drawn from their first release, and the site sells type by letting you set your own words in it before you buy.

Orbit Research

A literature tool that had to show its working. Most of the design effort went into how the model admits it is unsure, and what a researcher does next when it is.

Want the long version?

Each of these has a longer write-up with the parts that did not work. We send those on request rather than publishing them, because most of it is still under NDA.
